Investigated the fleet-wide simultaneous reconnect concern. buildPlaylistPayload is synchronous but cheap: measured avg 0.078ms / max 0.70ms per call with a 200-item snapshot; 230 devices = ~18ms CPU spread across 230 separate handler invocations (the loop yields between them), never one block. Per-call << 50ms invariant. No change needed; documented with the measured number. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

// #146 P2.5 — classify buildPlaylistPayload under a legitimate fleet-wide simultaneous
// reconnect (e.g. 230 disty devices after one network blip). Each first connect passes
// the flap/reconnect gates and runs buildPlaylistPayload SYNCHRONOUSLY. Measure the
// per-call cost with a large published_snapshot and confirm it stays well under the
// ~50ms invariant (the loop yields between socket.io handler invocations, so the risk is

// per-call, not one aggregate block).
